1.     What is face asymmetry?

Asymmetric face is shape that you have different part both right and left side. People who have 100% symmetric face are very rare, and actually it’s natural phenomenon.

But if you have asymmetric which is noticeable to everyone easily, you need correction.

Asymmetric face disrupts the equilibrium of face. So, it makes people to have not good appearance an also, gives discomfort to speak or chew foods. If it’s severe, it causes temporomandibular disorder.  

2.     Is my face asymmetric?

Everyone has slight asymmetric so mostly, people don’t perceive even if they have some asymmetric. But if you look into your face closely, you may see the asymmetric. 3.     For the face asymmetric, is self-correction possible?

If face asymmetric is already progressed, it won’t be possible to fix it from self-correction.

As there are lots of people who have asymmetric by acquired factor, In case of mild asymmetric face, you can have effectiveness with no-more-progress of asymmetric through simple habitation and correction.

4.     Correction of severe asymmetric

l  Two Jaw Surgery

WE perform a Two Jaw surgery when patient’s Jaw interlocking is not good and when patient have severe asymmetric face with functional problem.

We fix interlocking correctly to solve functional problem and make asymmetric face to symmetric which is normal rate. From that, you will see dramatic change and improvement.

l  Facial Contour

If asymmetric is not severe and interlocking is normal, it’s not necessary to have Two Jaw Surgery. Thus, we fix it from Facial contour by reduce bigger contour’s size.

As we mentioned before, if asymmetric is already progressed much, it’ll be very hard to fix it from self-correction. Self-correction is only for prevention. So, in this case, Fix asymmetric by surgical treatment is more efficient.
